Swiftwaters Music Festival

I just wanted to share with those of you who live in Maine or New Hampshire, or who do not mind traveling further, about the Swiftwaters Music Festival. We have gone to this festival the last two out of three years since it has been revived. It is set on on the campus of Chop Point Christian School, which sits on the banks of the Kennebec River. The name Chop Point was chosen because it sits where three rivers come together and the river is visibly choppy.

The Swiftwaters Music Festival is family friendly. they provide a children's play area where they have bouncy houses, games, face painting, balloon popping, and balloon animals to name a few. It is well supervised by a local church youth group and it leaders.

We put this on our calendar each year and my husband plans his vacation in order for us to go. For us it is a ninety minute drive, so it is easy for us to go to the concert and return in the same day. Here are some pictures I have taken at past concerts:
