This class will be using the fabulous web-interactive unit, "All About Knights" by Brandenburg Studies to delve deep into Medieval History. Students will love the daily research assignments and the opportunity to discuss their findings with the class each week. They will learn all about heraldry, the Knight's Code, famous Knights, and more! They will each complete a project of their choice to share with the class during our final session.

This class will use the Brandenburg Studies unit, "All About Knights" which is a class requirement and is available for purchase on CurrClick.

CurrClick Live Class - - The Art of Photography

The Art of Photography

This is a six week course that will meet for 90 minutes each class meeting.

This class is taught with a Christian Biblical Worldview. The class is limited to 15 students, and will only take place if 12 students enroll.

(The previous class sold out over a week prior to the start).

The course introduces the basic elements of photography as an art form including concepts such as composition, lighting, shape, color, camera angles, focus, motion, cropping, etc. Photoshop image software is also introduced.

Students learn the critique process by viewing other's award winning images, and then capture their own images based upon a series of weekly studies - people, still life, landscape, etc. Assignments include doing studies (taking pictures) and presenting their work on a weekly basis for critique. The student's goal is to develop their own portfolio, and have at least one work either published or exhibited.

Their older daughters have graduated college with degrees in the Fine Arts, and Landscape Architecture. Ted has taught photography to home school students for over three years. His students have won awards competing against public and private school students in Vero Beach, Florida. He has also taught American Government, Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship, Leadership Studies, Journalism, Bible, and Speech and Debate. Come experiment and learn about oil pastels in this fun LIVE class. During this 3 week class, Pilar will walk students step by step through a project. All students will construct the same picture, but each will be a unique piece of artwork because of individual tastes.

You will receive a copy of the picture we will be doing as well as a supply sheet when you purchase the class.

This exciting class is perfect for ages 7 and up. So, parents grab those pastels and jump in for a rip roaring good time.

Pilar is currently a stay at home mom who has been involved in the art world for over 20 years. She has worked for such greats as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse, Comics, and Walt Disney Productions. Pilar has taken her experience and talent and developed a program in which EVERYONE is able to produce an outstanding piece of artwork. Pilar has won several awards for her outstanding artwork.

You will receive an email approximately 1 day prior to our class time with the link to our classroom. This is an interactive class with the ability for students to ask questions via chat. It is like being right in the room with Pilar.
